I talked to my mom on the phone today. She told me that my Aunt had mailed them my Meme's wedding ring and wanted me to have it. I am overwhelmed with emotion because I don't have much that belonged to my grandmother. I dearly loved her. I thought she was buried with her wedding rings. My Aunt said that she thought that my grandmother would want her Annie ( which is what my Meme would sometimes call me) to have it. My Aunt has had it for years because she wanted to wear it. I can understand that because it was her mother. Meme died 1 month before my son was born. Our daughter was in the hospital, so we couldn't make it to the funeral. It really touched me that my Aunt is giving it to me.
