I promised that for Ina's group once I got over to check the place out that I would post an article walk through of the house I'll be moving to in June. Below the Surfside Beach house is shown.

This is a view of the house from the center of the culdesac. I painted out my car license plate and the house number for privacy reasons.
Starting indoors at what's the left side of the house, you have a bedroom that I'll be claming with my own bed since it's the only room that will handle a queen size bed.

Going out that door, puts you in the hallway.

To the left is the backdoor that leads to a small patio area (will show later) and to the right is the only full bath in the house.

Continuing down the short hall puts you in the kitchen. That's my mom tuning into something on the tv in the photo.

Here's aview of the kithen when I am standing behind her.

And a more closeup shot of the small kitchen area.

The back room is actually a dining room now. It used to be a sunporch many years ago, but the sliding galss door was removed to make it more part of the house.

Just another shot showing the rest of the room.

Behind those closet doors are the washer & dryer.
Now a 180 degree view from here would lead you to the office area.

My stuff will take over these shelves and I'll have my office chair for use at this work station area. The rest of the room is seen below.

I'll actually move the loveseat and ottomans to the left wall where you see the plant holders now. My mom is going to use those at their house.
Exiting the office back into the dining area shows you the view of the living room area, which was shown in other photos as background.

You can also see the second bedroom entry on the left and straight ahead is the front door that leads to the screened in porch (shown later).

Entering the second bedroom, there's a double bed...

And this room has it's own 1/2 bath.

Now we kind of skip to the back patio and garden area.

Above is the view from the back door and below is the view looking towards the back door.

This is about the extent of the backyard, which is why I gave a lot of my garden accent stuff to Phyllis. There simply isn't anywhere to put it all here.

To the right of the patio area is an outdoor shower, which is nice when you come back from the beach. It's a lot bigger than the indoor shower too.

Moving back out to the front of the house shows the indoor view of the front porch & entry.

As I have said previously, this place is fully furnished. So only a small portion of my things will move into here in June. Most of my furnature and many of my belongings will be put in a storage facility.
Hope you enjoyed the pre-move tour of my future "home" at the beach.

I'm so-so on it, Heather, I can just barely fit my parrot & his cage in the corner in the dining area (for lack of how else to describe it) and I'm unsure where my dog's litter pan will go (she's litter trained like a cat). Most of my personal stuff aside from clothing will be in that office room.
Best way for me to describe my feelings is that it's kind of like staying in an extended care suite if you're a business traveller. It has all the amenities of home, but it's not quite home.
Enjoy being close to the beach & the gardening to come as well~
I love the shape of that kitchen. I would love to have so much space.
It's a charming home and on the beach ,WOW ! Nice setup .everything will work out OK.
BTW,your Mom is a babe !
I'll cook.
This place is great, Marianne! The furnishings rock, and so does the location. You're so lucky to be able to have access to this!
Are you going to show us more pictures when all of your crap is laying all over the place?
I will post new photos of the one bedroom, the dining room once Gonzo invades it, and the office room - which will probably look like a geocoin distribution center. Other than that, nothing will change from how it is now except the fridge will have about 100 more magnets :-)
It's great that you can be so close to your mom and the rest, well, time will tell.
It's gorgeous!
nice place
