This was really painful to watch. These stocks have plummeted in value to just above or below $1.00.   You can pick one up for lunch from the New NYSE Dollar Menu:

Mckey D's Double Cheeseburger.

Frankly, right now, I go for the cheeseburger.  Probably a better value.

I saw this on the news this morning, meanwhile McDonalds stock is doing well.
Isn't it awful Apryl. We've been watching these giant companies become penny stocks. Unreal.

it is awful; I wonder if people are going to start putting their savings under their mattress.
Lol, Apryl, we did that a loooonnnng time ago. We keep a small on line savings account because they do pay about 1.8% which is just above a regular bank. They used to be much higher. If they continue to drop the interest rate, I will withdraw the money and put it under the mattress.

And what room is that mattress in? (I'd be careful of letting people think you have cash around. As times worsen, desperate times will call for desperate measures. A neighboring county already had a four-armed-men home invasion for the money believed to be inside.

BTW - one I got past the financial horror of this post I appreciated the humor - dollar menu - VERY Funny!
Yes Richard, we started having home invasions in the city, but on the other side of town than I, and we immediately went out and purchased a 45 caliber pistol to keep our shotgun company. In Georgia, you have the right to shoot first if someone is threatening your home and property.
Also, hubby was a sharpshooter in the Army. I'm just learning and could use the practice if someone is foolish enough to try.

I went to the Dollar Store and asked the clerk where they were hiding the Citibank shares, and he called the police on me. I didn't know I could run that fast.
Just think Denise, for the cost of 2 postage stamps, you could own a little of Citibank!
Oh Keith, I'll buy Citibank if it goes down to .50/share, but not before. I thought about it yesterday, but you don't want to hold a tentative stock over the weekend as you never know what can happen. I'll be watching it next week, just as we always do.
The people who are saying to 'buy now' are the market makers. They have an interest in manipulating a stocks price for their clients and themselves.
