For the last several weeks, I have posted writing games/exercises aimed at increasing member participation by posting a simple prompt that requires no preparation—other than tapping into some creativity, which I know you all possess.
I invite everyone who has not participated and everyone who would like to contribute again to visit the previous posts and join the fun. It’s never too late, as these are ongoing. For those who’ve never tried creative writing, you might find these a good way to get started. You leave your contribution as a comment on the existing post. What could be easier?
Write your memoir using only six words.
Join the story in progress and add your own line or lines to continue the story.
Brief descriptions are used to introduce characters linked to the character that proceeds them, and includes an introduction to the next character.

This is an easy game to play. It starts out with someone creating a poetic verse, then each member adds a line or verse to the poem. There are no rules that it must be in rhyme or free verse—it can even be a combination of both. You get to decide what kind of verse you’d like to add.
I am going to ask one of our poets to start us off on this exercise; whoever gets there first and wants to lead the way, feel free.
As with the other exercises, please don’t leave comments that interrupt the exercise in progress.
For all other submissions today, I hope to see a good variety of creative writing—there is no specific theme.
Have a great day, everyone, and I look forward to your submissions.

these silver shadows portend more crystal flakes in my future.
My crystal ball says: to bed.
I leave the comfort of familiarity
And stretch my fingertips towards
something new and smooth tucked behind the mirror
With the landscapes of my mind unfolding
Before my eyes, beneath the moon:
In the dormant hours,
She calls out to me,
my paramour,
with dulcet words
and a bed as distant as the moon.
reminds me of happier times
it caresses my heart with syllables
nudges my memory with vowels
its words of love on paper
like flowers bloom in my soul
