I Sold My First Book a Few Minutes Ago!

Just wanted to shout some news from the rooftop and figured this would have to do since I'm scared of heights and am currently at the Blue Belle Inn, a three-story tall Victorian house.

The first shipment of my new book, Night and Day, arrived from Second Wind Publishing today, and I sold my very first book soon after! And not to a relative, either. (She's a local lady I know professionally who stopped by about some bicycle trail committee business.) So it definitely qualifies as a real sale, and not a pity purchase. :-)

Yea! What a feeling!

This is quite a moment. I was all choked up after she left. It's just so cool... although I am also a little worried, hoping that she likes it, and hoping even more that she will rave about it all over town so everyone will want to read it.

Thanks, Mike, and all of you at Second Wind Publishing, and all of my friends at Gather, too.

I'll let you know as soon as the book is available from Amazon.com. I think you could order it right now through the publisher (www.secondwindpublishing.com), although you might have to send your order through the contact information - I don't think their website is updated quite yet. It will be soon. I can't wait!
