An Invitation For your consideration:

Rough Drafts is a group for writers who want feedback on their projects BEFORE publishing them to groups (or to the world at large)! It is a place to get (and give) frank opinions about the work and what can be done to pull it up to its fullest satisfying potential. If you want to write and comment on poetry, this is the place; if you want to write and comment on fiction, non-fiction, essays, reviews, cookbooks, travel, in short, any particular genre, this is the place. But ONLY if you want pre-publication feedback. Only members of the group will be able to submit and comment on rough drafts, and only Rough Drafts Group members will see your rough drafts. The more readers the group has, the more likely you'll get exactly the kind of information you want to advance your work. From who your audience seems to be and what their pleasures are, to specific technical inputs to make your outing successful. Please feel free to invite anyone you know, who loves to give heartfelt and meaningful comments, to join the group. The spirit of the rough drafts reader will guide all comments, including the type of work they're willing to comment on. Feel bullish about commenting on genres you don't write in; if you read a piece and it moves you let the author know in what way. The reason for making the Rough Drafts Group semi-private is to make sure that all submitted rough drafts are ONLY read in the Rough Drafts Group--no curious eyes (so to speak)--until you're ready! IT IS NOT TO LIMIT MEMBERSHIP; ALL INTERESTED GATHERERS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN. When you think your material is ready, simply create and publish the completed article wherever you wish. But let your Rough Drafts Group friends know so they can comment on your finished work, too! If you wish to have the rough draft removed from the group, just let the group owner know, and 'poof!' it will disappear. (Suggestion: before requesting your material be removed, make a copy of it INCLUDING all of the comments so you can always have the references. When submitting your work to the group, put the words "Rough Draft" in parentheses behind the title, and the version you're working on. Keep your rating turned ON and keep earning points as your rough draft progresses. You deserve it! Writing is fun, and fun is meaningful, soul-satisfying pages for your readers! Enjoy and enjoy!
