Poll--Women, Do You Shave Your Forearms?

I just heard some kind of survey that said that men prefer women who shave their arms and legs.  I can understand shaving your legs, but shaving the arms must be a new thing.  I don't seem to remember anyone doing that when I was younger unless it was really bad.  We shaved the bottom part of the legs and the armpits when I was growing up, but not much else.  It seems like men, nowadays,  want women to shave off all their body hair.

I have hair on my forearm that's noticeable to me, especially when wet, but no one seems to notice or comment on it.

Also, men, do you prefer your woman to shave her forearms?

No way. Everyone has some hair on their forearms it is normal. I don't have a lot of hair there, and thank goodness the hairs I do have there are much lighter than the hairs on my head. If I shaved them, they would probabliy grow back thicker and more noticable. I prefer to leave them the way they are.

Nope, although my arms are very hairy:) The hairs are almost platinum blond due to the sun though, which makes it less noticeable.

No I don't! I have hair on my fore arms but it's not that noticable.

Now I just feel weird. I actually do shave my arms, I have really thick platinum blond arm hair and in the sun it almost looks neon, so I shave it.

My teen-aged daughter and her pals have been shaving their forearms for awhile. They think hair is gross anywhere other than on top of a face. It seems men cannot cope with hair anywhere else either...
Maybe the razor companies start these trends?

I think they meant underarms. most women are not that hairy that they have to shave their forearms

Thanks. Actually, they said arms. I've also heard other people talk about shaving their forearms, too. And, I know that some women do. It seems like a new thing.
I do not shave my forearms. Nor will I ever. I have thick black hair. Yes, it shows up easily to the eye. My daughter has gbeen cursed with teh same dark hair on her arms and legs. I noticed yesterday her legs are really hairy. But not sure if it is appropaite for an 8 yr old to shave her legs yet.

I have noticeable ,but fine in texture, hair on my forearms and wouldn't even think about shaving them! Armpits and legs, that's it. Take it or leave it.

You mean when the survery said arms, they didn't mean under the arms, instead of forearms? I don't know any men who like that. I mean the hair does try to grow back, and it would be like arm stubble. I shave my legs, the entire length of them, and my underarms.

Thanks for the comments Amber. They actually said arms and were showing people's arms at the same time. I've actually heard several men mention that they like women to shave their arms and I've seen forearm waxing available at some salons.

I don't shave my forearms... nor will I ever start! LOL However, several years ago (7 or so) I worked with teenagers at my church and all the girls shaved their forearms. I would think once you start you'd have to do it forever because wouldn't it get thicker??

I would think that, too. But, I've heard that's an old wives tale. I don't know if I want to find out.
