Who Did the Bachelor Jason Pick?

My friend was really disappointed in the finale and said that from watching it, she lost all hope that men can do the right thing because of the woman he chose.

I thought that it was so sad she said that because there are good men out there. But more importantly, it's terrible she's putting so much stock in a man who's playing a role. The Bachelor was a duche from the get-go by choosing from 10, 15, or however many women there are on the show. What's romantic about that? Who cares who his final choice is. He was never a prince.

I heard them talking about this on the TV this AM. I did not watch it but looks like I missed a good one.

I don't watch

I was so annoyed with the finale last night! I don't see how he could've known from 6 weeks of a secret relationship that he chose the wrong gal. I really wanted Molly to say "no way jose" when he asked her for a chance. I would've!

This inspired next season's Bachelor: The Polygamists series. Although I hear the rose ceremony is a lot less surprising.

I was shocked - about who he chose and what he did. I thought he was going to propose to Molly. I was also surprised that Molly took him back so quickly. I would have needed a LOT of questions answered before agreeing to trying to rekindle a romance.

So, I've been a Bachelor/Bachelorette fan for years, and this season with Jason has made me rethink watching any future seasons.

Rumor has it that Jason knew early on he wanted to pick Molly (that was pretty evident from the footage they actually showed us). To get a good "story" out of it, producers told him he had to pick Melissa in the finale, only to dump her at the After The Final Rose show, and go back to Molly.

If these rumors are true, it makes me sick on many counts:
1. I know ratings = money in TV Land, but how low does a producer have to stoop to get them?
2. How could Jason agree to something like that? (I know...a contract...)
3. We don't know what Molly knew, if anything, and when. Her reaction last night left me thinking that she did know about this beforehand.

My husband and I actually felt icky watching the show last night. I feel really bad for Melissa, but hope she ISN'T the next Bachelorette, for her own sake. I'm sure she'll get enough press and local celebrity to find herself a real, honest, and deserving man.
