A Photo Tour of Bill Baggs State Park, Key Biscayne, Florida

On Sunday we spent the morning at Bill Baggs State Park all the way at the end of Key Biscayne, which is south east of Miami. The park is a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city streets, and it can be crowded at times, there were not many people there on Sunday.

The weather was a bit unsteady, and we received a few drops as well.

This has been the driest winter in South Florida ever recorded, and we have received a total of less than 1 inch. This means that everything is extremely dry, and we are under a fire warning.

The following is the result of a fire in the state park, but it seems as if they were able to get it under control relatively quickly, as the damage was limited.

Very nice photo essay. My yard has died because of the drought as well. You would think living so close to the river I would have a lush yard. But nope, the dry condition abound everywhere.
