Rihanna and Chris Brown Back Together

I totally agree, shoot with all that money she has, I'd have left him in a nano-second, before he laid hands on me. But easier said than done, I was in a relationship like that also, and it's hard to leave. You are so in love with the person that you refuse to acknowledge that they are a certain way, and you refuse to believe that it could happen to you, but the truth of the matter is, once you realize that you can do bad all by your self, that you are a strong person, that don't need the abuser, it makes it easier. It did for me, I was just scared to end up in jail for murderizing his ass, but I did it!! not only for me but for our daughter, who had no business having parents like us. I'm proud to say that I am a better person for it and a stronger person and a better mommy to my daughter.

I think she is sending a bad message to her fans. That its ok for you boyfriend to beat on you...that is what I read from her going back to him. I guess I understand she loves him but once he hit her i dont understand why she would go back to that and risk getting beat again.I just hope noting extreme happens.

Codependancy. One of them has to break it off for good or the cycle will just continue.

They were saying it takes a woman an average of 8 times of leaving or trying to leave before it actually happens.

She must like being treated the way she was. Some people thrive on being abused. They have such low self esteem; even negative attention is still attention. An abuser remains and abuser and will continue their actions as long as the victim keeps coming back for more. They are both in need of counseling, not only for the relationship they have together, but for future relationships. This one will not last, but the abuse will continue as long as they're together.

She may be so afraid of him that she thinks that no matter who is protecting her, he will still get to her. I have seen abusers use fear. He may have a lot of people afraid of him. Who knows. I will just be praying for her.

I remember Brown being arrested two weeks ago for beating her......

it's a matter of co-dependecy and that it seems that the "victim" usually has to be beaten just under or even about 10 times before they finally get the nerve or whatever to just break it off.......

I wrote an article about this as well.
Rihanna has a chance to be the poster-girl for abusive relationships. She has a chance to show teenage girls that they don't have to stay in bad relationships, and be hurt either physically or emotionally. She has a chance to be a role model and I think going back to Chris sets a bad example for girls out there who look up to her for support.
After finding out that she was abused, many girls may have been waiting to see what she'd do, in an effort to mimic her in thier own lives. It is definitely not good that she is going back to him.

I really don't know those folk, ester...and I do not know the mindset of man or woman who would stay in an abusive relationship. I thought I had a good marriage many years ago, then he was drunk and gave me a night of terror... ONCE was ENOUGH!!The divorce was very quick...
Back on my mom's day, they stayed because they had no other recourse. Even a pastor would recommend they stay, which was SOOO wrong!(Not that mom would ever stand for it, but we knew MANY who did, usually with a pack of children to care for.)

Unfortunately love and hate can be deeply entangled. I'm not a celebrity watcher so I don't know anything about these two but so often a woman who allows physical abuse and bounces back has a history of violence in the family when she was growing up, "learning" that those you love physically hurt you and feeling low self esteem regardless of talents and accomplishments. I agree they both need help.

Celebrity doesn't change the cycle of abuse and the personality types that allow it.

One can only hope someone does something to intervene.

I'm not suprised she went back. Even though she does have money and a career of her own, she is still human and suseptible of becoming co-dependant on someone. Money has nothing to do with it. It's self esteem, self worth that she and women like her have a problem with. Men like Chris Brown know how to manipulate and tear a woman down emotionally, making them feel worthless (even though they are actually worth millions). They know how to pick the right woman. It's not Rhianna's fault. Somewhere down the line while growing up, she has subconsciencously learned that this kind of treatment toward women is okay by watching her mother, sister, ...other women in her family take this kind of abuse and watch men in her family treat their women like this.

Rob...How can you say, "She must like being abused...."? Nobody likes being abused. As sick as he is for abusing her, she's just as 'sick' for allowing it. She doesn't have the strength, self worth, self esteem to leave. Not now anyway.

As far as setting a bad example: She's thinking about herself right now. How to survive. How to work through her own illness. Being a roll model probably doesn't even come into the picture.

That may be true, but it is still their decision to make. They are going to have to be the ones to make their own mind up. Nobody....no one person can influence them. If their own friends and family can't get them to leave the guy they are with, no celebrity will. They have to find that strength within themselves.
Rhianna cannot be deemed a 'bad roll model' for going back. She has a problem she needs to work through herself. She's just as ill as Chris is.

I just hope he is going to get the help he needs and so does she.

Being a domestic violence myself I can honestly say it is harder to leave then you think. Personally I hope she overcomes whatever esteem issues she has and gets out of the relationship permanently before he kills her.

Even with all her fame and $$ she must have VERY low self esteem to get back together with that creep.

We don't really know what happened between them....
