If you are ever in the Springfield, MA area, a fun place to visit is the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden. It is located at the Quadrangle. The directions are on the link above.
My husband and I were on our way back home from Boston and decided to stop in and check it out, since I am huge Dr. Seuss fan, he is one of my favorite authors. We thought it would take an hour or so to see it.
We were very surprised to find out that it is located within the Quadrangle. This includes a science museum, history museum, art museum, fine arts museum and a small museum dedicated to Theodor Geisel who was born on March 2, 1904 and raised in Springfield.
In celebration of this great man's birthday, go to Googles main page today, and Google is spelled out with characters from his many children's books.
To further celebrate, go to: http://familycrafts.about.com/cs/marchholidays/l/blmar2nd.htm
