I have always loved this song and for me although I do like all of these artists there is a clear favorite and that is Nazareth's version. They get my vote.

Nazareth gets the nod hands down...the version I remember the best. I'll give the middle slot to the Everly Brothers. I don't like Roy Orbison's voice, so he gets placed last.

I like Nazareth the best as the Audio Quality on Very Bad on the Everly Brothers and maybe a Monoural Recording from the early 1960's. Roy is 2nd but it Sounds he didn't have the Zip in other Recording he has made. But His Voice is Awesome but the Recording is kind of Flat and Lacks Energy.

I'll have to agree with you and choose the version by Nazareth. I'm not sure if the Everly Bros. version was dragging or what but it sounded awful. Roy Orbison is OK is small doses. Thanks for the post Chris!
