This is another recipe I came up with and perfected myself. It started out when I had leftover oreos from another project and wanted to use them up.
Ended up, my youngest ADORED THEM, but they were a little dry, so I kept changing things until I had them "perfect."
Cookies and cream bar cookies
1 vanilla cake mix (or use white mix and stir in 2 teaspoons vanilla)
2 eggs
½ cup vegetable oil
¼ cup water
1 bag (10oz.) white chocolate chips
½ package Oreo (or store brand) sandwich cookies, separated with cream removed. (approx 24 cookies or 48 wafers), broken into bite size pieces, but not ground into crumbs.
•1. Mix Cake mix, egg, oil and water until well blended.
•2. Stir in ¾ bag of white chips and the broken oreo pieces
•3. Mix until well blended.
•4. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 cake pan.
•5. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
•6. Cool.
•7. Heat remaining white chips in a Ziploc bag in the microwave, at 10 second intervals, until melted.
•8. Snip end off back and squeeze onto cooled cookies in a zig zag pattern.
•9. Chill and cut into bars. Makes 24 cookie bars.
Seperating the sandwich cookies from the cream.
My kids always beg for the leftover cream!

This is what they look like before they bake.

This is what they look like fresh out of the oven.

Here are the completed bars ready to cut and serve.
YUMMMMMY!!!
