Oh my Goodness!! I will start with everything is oKkKKKkK....Thanks be to God!!! It was all HIM.
Last night about 10 minutes before we were going up to bed Jon and Zach went down to the basement to play. It's open and padded with that outdoor puzzle lock kids padding, my treadmill off to one side. They use the treadmill as base, I just found out for indoor tag!!!
Zach tripped and fell into 'base' and put a good 2 inch heavily bleeding gash into his head. It was horrible. I told Jon to run up and get Jamie. Jamie had just woken from a nap, she even had sheet creasing in her face!! LOL I wrapped him up and off we all went to the hospital. Chris left work and wound meeting us in Pittsburgh after they transferred Zach and I to Children's Hospital where we spent a very noisy uncomfortable night!!!
Zach and I got to go to Children's by ambulance. He liked that part. They had already put 5 staples in his head and closed the gaping wound but did a cat scan as a precautionary....they found a bleeding spot on his brain. It is still there but the neurologist in Childrens' feels it is so small that it's nothing but he wants us to follow up with a MRI in 4 weeks just to make sure. Zach was so brave he had 2 cat scans and an X-ray of his neck, just to be sure he was ok.
Talk about stressful and only getting 1 hour sleep....We just got home!!! I NEED a nap. Chris missed church this morning but he is going tonight. I pulled him out of a gig last night and then everyone prayed for Zach. It was a Christian Rock gig. It just had ended when he got my text. He apologized and left coming straight to Children's.
We were in our local hospital from 7:45-10:00 then transported to Children's. We arrived at Children's at 10:30 and didn't get out of the trauma room until 2:30am. They did all kinds of tests and questioning until 4:30am and we got to sleep from 4:30am -5:30 am when they woke us again...((sigh))
We got home after 1pm and it seems all is ok. Zach has to go for an MRI in 4 weeks to make sure the small spot is gone or it could indeed be a calcium deposit, which is ok.
Nap time!!!
I am so grateful that Zachary is ok!!! Words cannot even touch how I feel.

I'm glad to hear everything is ok. Now get a little rest.
My10 yr old has a couple scars on his head where hair will not grow because of it being cut open. one time it was because his older brother was pulling him in the wagon when he flipped out backwards in to the stones.
Have a great day and enjoy this weather.
