On February 5, 2009, there was a column titled New Hampshire Leads Next American Revolution! At the time, only a handful of states had introduced legislative efforts to reclaim state sovereignty under the Ninth and Tenth Amendments of the US Constitution.
As of February 17th, when It's Time for American Freedom Fighters to Unite, some twenty states had followed that lead, introducing measures of their own aimed at reclaiming state rights to defend against what was clearly becoming a runaway Democratic Socialist juggernaut in Washington DC, running roughshod over Republican members of congress and the millions of Amer icans they represent.
Today, the number of states claiming state sovereignty, some outlining specific federal actions that have far more to do with usurping the US Constitution than upholding it, has grown to at least thirty two... the magic number is 34....

I don't blame the states a bit....
It takes 34 states to bypass the US Congress and call for a Constitutional Convention. Reasserting state sovereignty under the Ninth and Tenth Amendments would be the appropriate first step towards calling for a new Continental Congress.
Is it possible that state legislatures know exactly what they are doing here? This is the ONE constitutional method for reversing the current rush into Marxism in Washington DC that could preempt the growing public movement towards outright revolution and tax revolt.
It is the ONE thing that state governments can do to stop the nation from falling into an armed public rebellion against the heavy handed socialists running Washington DC. And nobody in Washington DC can stop it, so long as at least 34 states act upon their Constitutional right to slap the fed back down to its legitimate size and scope.
Is this really happening in my time? If it is, what an exciting time to be alive! After years of watching Washington DC elites destroy the republic, it would be an honor indeed, to watch the people take their country back by reasserting state sovereignty and constitutional rights.
The states are setting a firm footing to remind the fed that IT exists only at the pleasure of the states and their people, not the other way around. 34 state legislatures can force a constitutional convention, not for the purpose of a new amendment, but for the purpose of enforcing long existing amendments, specifically, #9 and #10.
Remember that all of the politicians and military personnel have sworn to uphold the Constitution. This IS Constitutional.
Rachel... this started with the NHLiberty.org. Go look it up... start date was a few months ago. Since then, they had 20 states sign within 1 month... and another 15 or so in the last few weeks. 2 more to go.
This is AMAZING!!! What an incredible time to be living!!! Could you imagine what that would be like to go around congress and force the government to do right? WOW.
This isnt speculation. Look it up for yourself. Find the facts.

The point is to force the powers back to the states and remove the unconstitutional restrictions and guidelines that the federal government currently forces.
The magic number is 34. As of today, there are 17 states that have ratified this already. 2 that are redoing it and ratifying the current document and 11 that are in the works getting it ratified. That makes 30... 4 more and they could circumvent the senate, house, and president to formulate and pass their own bill restricting the governments strong arm practices.
Wow. 2 or 3 months ago, New Hampshire made this more well known and only had 3 states. 1 month ago there were only 10 states. Now...30!
It will be a VERY interesting to see what happens. What an incredible thing witness history in the making. Our constitution is just incredible.

However having said that, I have spoken about states (Texas in particular) taking steps such as this only to be attacked by those with out the intelligence to see past their own bias. I do hope we can force a continental congress and I hope and pray it can be made up of intelligent, reasoning Americans not political lackeys. The US Constitution is an amazing document, crafted by some of the most intelligent people of its time. They put a great deal of thought and consideration into it. It has made so many changes through out the world. Yes I think it can be strengthened and yes even improved. I just fear the outcome if we allow it to be peopled with politicians who owe the Incs and special interests.
