GOP - No Leader, No Ideas, No Direction...

Anyone following the circus act at this years CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) can't help but scratch their head and wonder what ever became of the Grand Old Party? When republicans turn to clowns like Rush Limbaugh and Joe the Plumber for direction, you know they're in trouble.

One of their major problems, of course, has been the disastrous leadership of George W. Bush. How bad was it?

Romney on top and Jindal/Palin on the bottom............nobody got above 20% support. Now if Rush had been in the running the campaign buttons/posters would already have been printed.

You're right. One has to wonder about a party that would actually have a lying buffoon like Limbaugh as it's leader...spiritual or otherwise.

I think Tim Pawlenty will emerge as the favorite down the road. I like Romney but I don't think he's electable because of his Mormon roots.

The GOP is completely lost other than No-Bama they are clueless and haven't come up with a new idea in decades. They are still in the 1980's or 90's.

Now that they are exposed for what they truly are I view what Reagan said so long ago, "I didn't leave the Democraric Party. The Democratic Party left me", in a whole new light.

Way, way back in the day, bigots, racists, and the "Good ol' Boy", network were saturated within the Democratic Party. Reagan was one of them. But things began to change, and many stood up against them, and the Democratic Party went through a purge of it's bigots and racists. Reagan was one of those purged. The Democratic Party no longer was the way he liked it. He found what he was looking for in the Republican Party.

mickey d. I was a Republican since 1972. Although I did not vote for Bush 2 either time, I've voted Republican all my life, until I finally had it with the neocons masquerading as Republican Conservatives. They use the rhetoric, but deliver not, the goods.

I quit allowing the wolves in sheeps clothing to devour my time and life any more.
