Good Deal Alert: Publix - thru 3/4/09

so, my quick trip to get Nyquil turned into a major shopping spree, but I just couldn't pass up these deals! wow. Some of these sales are same as last week, but that was great by me as I got more coupons in for these items this week!

Green Giant Canned Veggies - BOGO at $1.29 each, purchased 16

Progresso Soup - 4 for $5, purchased 4 using 2 coupons totally $0.75

** by purchasing 20 of the above items, I received $5 off via store coupon so the total for those 20 items was $9.57

Pop tarts - BOGO for $2.39, purchased 4 using 2 coupons for $1 each, so $0.70 per box

Gorton Shrimp Temptations - BOGO for $7.49, purchased 2 using 2 coupons for $1 each so $5.49 will give my family of 4 a very nice meal!

Bird's Eye Voila - BOGO for $5.99, purchased 2 using 1 coupon for $0.55, so again a very nice meal for my family for $5.44

Cap'n Crunch Cereal - BOGO for $4.49, purchased 4 using 4 coupons for $0.50 each.

Success Rice - regular rice is on sale for $2, but the Jasmine rice my husband likes is not! $2.59 reg less $1 off coupon per box. Purchased 2 boxes

Nyquil - no sale but $1.50 coupon making it less than store brand

Halls cough drops - no sale but $0.50 coupon off per bag, purchased 2

Sudacare vapor plug refill - had to pay full price :(

9 lives cat food on sale for $3, but I had a coupon to get it for free

2 Suave for Men 3-in-1 shampoo/conditioner/body wash - $2.19 but had 2 coupons for free items. Realized when I got home that the cashier took the full $3 off for each so I had an overage of $0.81 per bottle

4 packs of Wrigley's gum - $1.09 but FREE thanks to coupons from Sunday's paper.

Other sales that I didn't take advantage of were:

Classico sauce - BOGO

Mueller's pasta - BOGO

And I know there were others...

Anyway, before coupons & sales my price would have been:  $117.28

I saved $42.11 in sales and $30.16 in coupons for a total savings of $72.27.

Meaning my GRAND TOTAL OUT OF POCKET was $45.01!!!
