Survivor Tocantins saw yet another blindside last week. The third time around things were just as interesting as the season continues to prove Survivor gets better with age. (And just some side news, we’ll have at least TWO more seasons as CBS has ordered Survivor through season 20!) After voting out Candace, Timberia returned to camp with Erinn trying to get back into the loop. Nobody told her that Candace was going but she had to act like she knew. Coach seems to have jumped on hating Erinn with Candace being gone. Guess he always needs someone to bug him and someone to complain about. And Erinn is that new person until well, either she or Coach gets voted out. The next morning Erinn was all about being one with Timberia. She didn’t know how she would do it yet, but Jerry gave her in an. He isn’t feeling well and hasn’t been eating. It looks like Jerry could get sent home for being the new sick player Timberia, but they’ve kept sick players before.
After at the newly happy Jalapao things were looking up. With their newly won fishing gear and high spirits it was all about catching food. Too bad they didn’t know how to use the net though, as all they caught were minos. It was a good thing though as they were able to catch some pretty nice fish. That uped their morale and going into challenges full is always a plus. At the official first reward challenge it was all about the blind. The classic was back as Debbie and Joe were the callers and everyone else was moving around the maze blindfolded. Their hope was to find buckets, fill them with water, then corn, and raise a flag. Red was in the early lead thanks to Joe. Debbie was screaming at the tops of her lungs, but apparently nobody heard her. Timberia stumbled to find their buckets while Jalapao was already getting their water. They had it full before any water was in Timberia’s bucket, allowing Jalapao an easy win.
With their win Jalapao once again sent Brendan to Exile and yes, he took Taj. It was obvious who he would take and there the two shared the clue once again. They also created a super secret alliance which consisted of themselves and Sierra and Stephen. Not sure if the other two would want to be involved but we’ll see. Over at Jalapao things were looking up as they now won two challenges in a row and had a better shelter. They were glad to have it too, considering the rain was a coming! As Jalapao remained dry, Timberia get wet and crabby. They lost two in a row and morale was down. Coach left out a yelp after learning they lost and wasn’t happy. Debbie wasn’t happy either as she felt it was her fault, but Coach somewhat put it on Erinn. Even though she did nothing wrong. The segment ended with a strange conversation between Coach and Tyson. Apparently he considers Tyson his “assistant coach” which Tyson doesn’t mind. He thinks being ‘under’ Coach could be beneficial as the focus is on Coach and not himself. Although Tyson did become a little annoying by LIKING being assistant coach. Um yeah, I don’t like Tyson anymore.
After the night of rain it was time for the next immunity challenge. The task was to roll six crates back to the mat and use the crates to build a stair puzzle. It was a fun challenge to watch and was very close. Timberia held the lead the entire time, until it came to the puzzle. Here they were all very close but Jalapao just edged them out on the last crate. Sandy got crushed during the challenge, which was funny considering it happened to Sandy, but she didn’t care considering she won. With their third loss in a row things weren’t looking good for Timberia. Back at camp everyone realized that Jerry was still sick and showed it during the challenge. As they discussed Jerry being sick, Erinn apparently had an “evil smile” that only Coach saw. What can I say, the guy just HAS to hate on someone. He told Tyson about his evil theory and he bought it.
Although everyone wanted Jerry gone, Coach swayed Tyson and with Jerry’s vote they had three for Erinn to go. Sierra and Debbie weren’t up for it though. Sierra said they were going to vote her out for being sick, so why should Jerry stay if he’s sick? She’s right and finally making smart moves in the game. While everyone got ready for tribal Brendan took the time to look for the idol. His first hunch was tree mail, where he searched for the hidden idol. He actually ended up finding it in a small hole in the back, giving Brendan the first idol of the season. He’s now the most powerful person in the game and with his alliance on the other tribe he could be the new Sugar. At their second Tribal Council Timberia started the first fight of the season. Erinn and Coach went at it since Erinn said that Brendan would be a better leader. Of course Coach believed that HE was the best to lead, but yeah he isn’t. He can’t take being not loving him and Erinn surely doesn’t. The too went at it for awhile until Jeff broke them up, sending the cast to vote. In the end Jerry was sent home with all the votes, even after the spat between Erinn and Coach. Guess he doesn’t get his away every time after all.
