I know not everyone is a fan of the show; however, wanted to discuss the results last night. I watched the show twice to make sure I didn't miss anything. I'm very surprised at the results, as expected a different winner. Top Chef has never had a foreigner win the show and I thought this season that would happen.
Were the judges correct this season? Did the right person win? Should a winner be selected by just one evening of cooking? Should Stefan have won this season? I know on the web site people are voting for Carla, but clearly she didn't deserve to win, as didn't bring out all of her dishes. She let the other person take complete control and she lost my respect and vote to win. If Carla wanted to win, then she should have made the dishes that she planned and bring all of them out. Yes, she explained about the dish, but she can't be the winner with the mistakes.
I enjoyed viewing Hosea's dishes and have always felt he can cook quite well. I'm aware that Hosea may need the prize and I really like his personality more than Stefan, but think Stefan is a better chef. Did the judges judge on personality? Can you lose for acting like your better than everyone else?
I look forward to the responses. I'm a long time fan and enjoy looking at great dishes.
