IDEA FOR WE MIRTHDAY

Not to be outdone by my co-editor, the estimable and talented Ms. Sandy Knauer, I too would like to present a unifying theme for the Monday Humor Writing Essential group. For the coming week, how about we all satirize the absolute worst day of our lives so we can 1) get sympathy, 2) get laughs, 3) get closure, 4) get points and 5) get featured and thereby famous?! Pretty irresistible, huh?

I'm also open to suggestion for further themes. Everything will be considered...the sillier, the better.

Beryl: I lost my daughter, too, and certainly wouldn't be able to make light of it, either. Perhaps, "absolute" was a bit too strong...I was thinking more along the lines of those events to which people respond, "I know you don't think so now, but one day you'll look back at this and laugh." Monday is that "one day".
