The Blue Belle Inn B&B is located in a quaint, little town of 1000 people. When people ask me what there is to do when they come to visit our village, my favorite response is "nothing", because I feel, in today's chaotic world, it is a rare treat to truly be able to relax.

But for those who crave adventure, there are many fun things to do while visiting the Inn. Here are some of my favorites:
* Relax a Little! Visit Advance Spa for a full body massage.
* Taste Life! Visit Bel-Aire Estates Winery or Thymeless Treasures and sample their delightful Iowa Wines.

* Get Creative! Decorate your own china at Turtle Creek Trading Company.
* Paint the Town with some Local Color! Visit Diamond Jo Casino (23 miles), The Spam Museum (21 miles), Music Man Square (35 miles), The Surf Ballroom at Clear Lake (45 miles) and check our area!

* Take a Walk on the Wild Side! Have a "Do-It-Yourself" Murder Mystery party. "A Chocolate-Covered Killing" is a "sweet" all women mystery.

*Be Festive! Try our Fondue Feast!

* Catch a Glimpse of History in the Making! We have an old fort, a heritage museum, a farming museum and a cazillion farms that really know how to change with the times.

*Make Something! Bring your sewing machine or scrapbooking supplies and come for a Kindred Spirit retreat.
*Reminisce! Put together a jigsaw puzzle or watch old movies and eat popcorn.

*Be Adventurous! Go golfing at Acorn Park, canoe down the Cedar River, go bird / eagle watching in Spring Park, go for a sleigh ride.

*Move it! Walk or bring your bike & check out our new recreational trail, picturesque gardens, ponds, & country lanes.
*Get Cooking! Come to one of our cooking workshops or wine tastings.

*Think Big! Gather up your friends, nieces, sisters and aunts, or grandchildren for some old-fashioned fun! We can accommodate up to 26 people in 11 separate bedrooms. We cans seat up to 60 in our dining rooms.

*Pamper Yourself! We have four whirlpools, two fireplaces, plush, memory-foam-topped beds, and all kind of "dreamy" decorating touches.

*Shop 'Til You Drop! St. Ansgar is famous for our unique craft, quilting, home decor, flower, antique and bridal shops in renovated Victorian houses and turn-of-the century storefronts -- even an old movie theatre.

Take Time to Smell the Roses!

Enjoy our gardens in the spring, Farmer's Market in the summer,

and our colorful maple leaves in the fall!

*Play All Day! Practice on our vintage pump organ or electric piano. Sing-a-longs are great fun, too!

We're happy to coordinate any or all of the above activities on the dates of your choice. But remember, it's still okay to sit on our front porch swing and read a book, or even do nothing at all. :-)

Then, I'm up for taking off walking and bike riding!
Then, maybe the historic stuff. My Great Great Grandfather James "Bully" Wells was murdered by hostiles somewhere in Iowa...I always wanted to scour around where they all lived in Minnesota...and more.
We'll all do nothing for a few days...
except talk (and maybe take some photos...)
Gave you a 10.

I'd love to visit with you, catch some quiet time on the swing
and check out all the rooms and decor!
We could have some fun improvising with Quentin's Theme
and then go antiquing!
PLUS I could find out who the heck St. Ansgar was!
I love the idea of kicking back with comfortable things.
