Tomorrow you won't see me, or my mom on Gather much if at all. Perhaps towards the evening once the sunlight goes away. Why?
Because...
Today, Terry and I went and got our apartment!
Yep, met the landlords, fell in love with the place, handed over the money and paid the deposit. We should be all moved in within the next week. I really like it, there's only a few downsides, but I'm sure they'll get better once I get used to them.
It's a two bedroom apartment, the second bedroom I'll be turning into my office, slash a game room for Terry. So that he can hang out and play video games near me, while I'm working on the computer. His idea, I thought it was sweet, that he at least wants to be able to hang out near me. heh
The only real downside about the apartment, is that it's a gas stove. Some people really love them. The landlords certainly do, and he brought up several good points about them. His main one being the fact that if a bad storm ever knocks down power, we can still cook. I've just never used one before, so it sort of intimidates me. Mom says it shouldn't be a problem, once I get used to it.
Tomorrow Mom, Terry, and me are going to go to the apartment together and start cleaning it up. It has EIGHT windows! I LOVE that, because I love windows, and sunlight, and summer breezes. But they're all so dirty and grimey right now. Sadly they're also tall. I'll have to use a ladder to clean the top panel, because I cannot reach. Heck Terry is 6'3" and he can just BARELY touch the touch of the window with his fingertips.
I'm just so excited, we're going to be super- super busy for the next few days.
Going to take the camera with me tomorrow, so that I can get pictures of the apartment in the condtion it's now. That way I can share them, and our progress on Gather with all of my fantastic friends!
Kim, mom says this means that The Graveyard Hours is all in your hands for tomorrow. =-p
So while you're all online, say a little cheer for us that we'll get it cleaned, and that the rest of the moving in process will go smoothly. I'm sure I'll be thinking about y'all a lot... And wishing you were there to help! lol =-D
