I watched a news story about how some people are sending out pretty rude emails after being laid off from their jobs. I wondered how many people have actually done that. Have you sent out emails when you were upset and then regretted it later? - or do you know someone who did that? If you were laid off, would you send out a email and tell your former employer what you thought?

nope, would not send one
Sending angry email at a previous employer may not help much if they get contacted when you are looking for a new job.
Sending letters or emails when you want to deal with someone may be a mistake because you put it in print. Sometimes it is better to write things down, to remember your points, but talk to the person. We sometimes can organize our thoughts better on paper. One other thing is to try and calmly ask why something was said or done. You may find you took it the wrong way and it was not what was meant. Clarify thing before you act or make decisions.
I have written some rather rude ones to my relatives. They insist on forwarding me untrue hateful emails sometimes which I delight in taking apart, untruth by untruth.
