My Companion
I know you are here
As sure as the golden knife
Pierces the night
And blinds sleepy eyes
You come with light steps
As sweet as a morning heart
Alive to rise
And take labor’s stroll
You rush at my soul
As swift as a pressing wind
Musses brushed hair
And clears misty minds
I know you are here
As sure as the tender peace
Descends on me
And swallows all fear
I know you are here . . .
