My wife paid off her car last year. Less than three months later, she got a big crack in her windshield that has since spread from one side of the car to the other, with a big triangle piece in the middle. Needless to say, we are going to have to get it replace.
I paid off my truck last December. This morning, on my way to work, some guy towing a dinky little trailer and slinging rocks put one right at the base of my windshield, by one of the wipers. I now have a nice crack that is slowly creeping up to the top of the window. I'm going to have to get it replaced now, too.
Ugh....
