Hey folks,
If you recall Gather announced they were going to cancel all old groups where the owner had not "logged in" to Gather in six months or so... They also said that the groups could be "assumed" to a new owner if you had moderator/administrative privileges, so it caught my interest.
Well, I made some arrangements and have taken over three more groups to add to the others I already own. Yep, goin' Big Time, ten groups now, LOL.
I spent several hours today removing non-related content and cleaning up the formats with the new group enhancements. I think I have them presentable at least for now, but want to work on some other improvements etc. later that are available.
The three "theme" groups are:
(collectables.gather.com)
This group is for photo essays, articles, or just pictures of the things you collect. Most of us collect something or another; or have some antiques we discovered someplace. Show us what you've got!
(mythical.gather.com)
This group is for all things Fantasy and/or Science Fiction. Have a story to tell, some neat artwork or photos? How about a book or movie recommendation you could tell us about. Let us hear and see what you have to say!
(collies.gather.com)
Owning Collies my whole life, I had to grab this group too. It is for Collie dog fans, as well as Border Collies too! Want to tell us a story about your pals, or have a picture to share of your Collie or Border... we want to see and hear about them.
So please take a look by clicking on the group names above, and if interested you are more than welcome to join. All I ask is that you try and stick to the group "theme" when making posts of any kind to them.
You can also see my other 7 groups if you haven't already, by looking for the box with "My Other Group Links" in any of the group's home pages above... ;-)

My hubby grew up with collies and his whole family still has them....
but I've turned him into a Labrador kinda guy! LOL.
There is a couple groups I am on I wish more people would post on... they are Turtle groups.... guess there aren't enough turtle owners out there, huh?

I have link's to all my groups in a box on the right hand side within any of my group's home page. You can also go to "my" home page, click on groups, and then select "owner" on the little drop down menu box there. That should list the ten groups I own as well...

Hey, I just realized, I should join the "Antiques and Collectibles." I've been collecting Precious Moments and Hummel figurines for a number of years; I also have some neat "stuff" I inherited from my mom when she died (like three handmade quilts, made by my great-grandmothers in the mid-1800's.....can ya believe it?!)........sounds like a really great group!
I'd love to see your "stuff" in the group Nora, LOL. I bet others would too... ;-) Those quilts must be something else, how neat you have saved them.... historical.

Funny Abby, there are already 3 or 4 Dachshunds groups in here already or I might consider it, LOL.
Yeah, when I assumed these three groups, it brought the total up to ten I manage, but a few are pretty small. I enjoy doing it though... ;-)

How are your dachshunds and collies doing? Mine are observing and getting smarter everyday, lol! You know how they watch everything and try to copy a person. :) My oldest is almost 5, then next in line is 3 and the other is 2.
Everybody is doing fine except the "big guy" Zeke, our male Collie. He keeps having seizures and we had to put him on medication for it... poor guy. It definitely helps though, but I guess it is a form of epilepsy(?) and has no cure... bummer. Other than that "the herd" is as playful as ever, LOL.
Aw, I'm so sorry. Poor Zeke. My one dog has had a few seizures but not severe ones and they are rare. So she doesn't need medicine. Give him a hug from me!
