Two weeks ago I received an email from Stefanie Plum letting me know that there would be South Beach package on its way for me to review. I was excited, and when the mail man did not bring it by on Monday, I began to wonder as it was supposed to be overnighted.
On Wednesday my dad and his girlfriend came to visit for the first time, and I was showing them around the house. When we came to the front I noticed that the front door mat had blown into the bushes, and when I went to fetch it, I discovered a huge box from South Beach underneath.
I guess we were not here, when it arrived, and the mail man must have tried to hide it, so that it would not be found by the wrong people.
When my son came home from school, I shared out packages of the Fiber Fit Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk cookies and the Double Chocolate Chunk cookies.

The consensus were that both cookies were great, and that the 100 calorie package was very filling. My dad said they were a bit dry, but for that we had lots of water as a remedy, and while water is a necessity for all of us, we do drink a whole lot more down here in the south due to the heat.
My dad and his girlfriend were also very impressed that a little pouch of cookies could contain 20 percent of the recommended daily value of fiber.
My favorite cookie was the Double Chocolate Chunk, as I am a huge chocolate fan. I thought the amount of chocolate was perfect, and there is no need to hold them in my hand and get sticky fingers when the chocolate melts down here in South Florida.
The boys loved both cookies, and we brought a few packages to share on all of our trips to Fort Lauderdale, the Everglades, the beach and even to South Beach, Miami.

The South Beach Living box also contained two packages of Fiber Fit bars. One package with Mocha bars, and one with S'mores.
My husband always eats cereal bars for breakfast, and he has convinced our youngest son to do the same. This makes it very difficult for me to get him to eat real breakfast, even though I use my creativity every morning. One morning we were in a rush, and I figured I would give him one of the South Beach bars. We had not tried them yet, and I had been so busy from having house guests that I had not even taken a closer look at the packages.
It turned out that I gave Sky a S'mores bar (thinking it was a regular cereal bar), but I soon regretted it. The S'mores bar are snack bars that reminds me about a regular candy bar. Sky was in heaven, and I bet you can all guess what he asked about for breakfast the next day.
One evening I decided to give the S'mores bars a try, and I have to say that I was positively surprised. I kept thinking about the Oreo cakesters 100 calorie packages, and about how it left me hungry for more instead of satisfying my craving. Well, the South Beach Living Fiber Fit S'mores bars did infact satisfy my craving and my growing pregnancy appetite.
For 100 calories, you really get quite a treat. It has a top layer of marshmellow blended with chocolate, and it covers over granola inside a perfec layer of chocolate as well. For me it actually takes a while to eat, but every bite is delicious and satisfying. There is no high fructose corn syrup in it, and the first listed ingredient is multi grain blend.
I can highly recommend the Fiberfit S'mores Granola bars for anyone, who loves chocolate, but who tries to keep the calories down.
The last package from the South Beach Living box contained the mocha bars, but I was very hesitant about trying these out. I have never been, and I will never be a coffee fan of any kind. I do not drink coffee, and the coffee taste is not tempting to me at all. I did not want to write a review without tasting these though, and I had seen lots of other gather members praise these, so I gave it a go.
I took one bite, and then I needed lots of water. The coffee taste was too overwhelming to me, and I tried to get my husband to eat the rest of the bar without success. I did take one more bite of it, but I did not finish the bar, and these are definitely not for people, who do not like coffee.
The next day I asked my dad and his girlfriend to try the mocha bars. They are completely addicted to coffee, and fortunately I did have an old coffee machine ready for them. The first morning here, they could not get to the store fast enough to pick up a pack of coffee, so I had the feeling they would like the Mocha bars.
It turned out that I was right in my assumption. They both agreed that the mocha taste was a bit overwhelming in the first taste, but they also thought that it blended in well after that, and they both liked the bars. I have now sent the bars with them on their romantic two-day getaway to the Florida Keys, and I am convinced that they will be enjoyed fully in the shade of a palm tree on a paradise beach.
My overall opinion is that the South Beach Living Fit products get a 5 for taste, a 5 for satisfying my craving and for filling me up, and the only product I did not love was the mocha bars.
Now I just need to find a good sale to use the coupons I picked up at the grocery store not too long ago.
Have you tried any of the South Beach Living products? If so, which one is your favorite?

i havent tried them yet!
They look yummy. I don't think I would buy them often but would consider trying them if the price was right. I imagine them to not be cheap. I am not a big fan of breakfast bars because they are loaded with so much that I don't want my kids eating. But if I do want unhealthy, I will eat regular cookies that cost a bit less!
As a freebie, they look awesome!
I think I would LOVE the smores ones.
I really liked the mocha bars, but I love coffee flavored stuff (although I don't like just plain black coffee). Elliott really liked both kinds of cookies, although I thought the double chocolate ones were too chocolatey and my husband wouldn't even touch them. We will probably buy all of them except the double chocolate cookies in the future.
My husband on the other hand, loved them, and ate them all.
