Exactly what I was thinking. Palin does better when she does not talk. Had she delivered the response she would say stuff like "I stimulated Russia's economy, I can stimulate America's."

Jindal, go in exile and run in 2016 or 2020 or 2040. You freaking 37. Don't tank with these losers. They have no idea what they are doing. "I won't take 1% of the stimulus" gimmick make you look like a fool. Sit it out, let them hit bottom like the economy. When they figure it out, you come out. This is political suicide to do anything for a party led by Rush Limbaugh.

Because of the time difference I was not able to see either the President's address or Jindal's response. I will have to make sure I check them both out tonight.

I've been listening to Charlie Rose. Even David Brooks has said Jindal's speech was unreasonable.

Jindal's "speech" (I use the word lightly) was just further proof that Republicans are at a complete loss as to what path to take. They are a torn and lost party. The last 8 years have brought this party to its knees...not that I'm complaining.

Not impressed with Bobby. He sounded like a junior high school kid reciting in class--absolutely no conviction. The contrast in speaking styles alone between Jindal and Obama was striking. If Jindal and Palin are the best the GOP have to offer in 2010 the only question is, which lamb is going to be led to the slaughter?

(Oh, yeah--I meant 2012, of course. Will Bobby be old enough to be President by then, I wonder? Maybe he could have his birth certificate "edited" a bit.)
