Enjoying the Sunset from Key Biscayne

On Sunday my dad took all of us to the Miami Seaquarium, and although we had planned a trip to the beach afterward, we soon realized that it would end up being too late. Instead of going to the state park, we decided to spread out a blanket and enjoy the sunset from the beach at the end of the Rickenbacker Causeway.

We shared fruits and crackers, and it was a very dramatic sunset.

The Floridians were out enjoying the evening, some sailing, some barbecuing and there were even lovers walking through the sunset.

There were a few clouds out, but the sun eventually reappeared from the clouds before it finally disappeared for good.

Oh, I love a Florida sunset. Those last pictures are particularly stunning. I will say that is more seaweed than I like when I'm in the water, but the kids don't seem to mind.

Thanks Gather friends! We are having a great time with my dad, and although I still view I have very little time to comment these days.

Sue, it was actually the first place in S. Fl that we have encountered a rocky beach, but the boys still loved it. We are hoping to be able to get out to the end of Key Biscayne for Sky's birthday....if the weather holds up.

This was beyond incredible - I am coming to visit you - I'll sleep on the floor - I have my own sleeping bag!! I brake for sunsets! Truly and those last two shots looked like a ruby in the sky ! Beautiful photo essay. If it was recent, it must have been before it turned cold agian. I am in TexAS AND when you get warm we do, when we get cold you do most of the time. It was almost a hundred last week, now in the 40's all week here and raining.
