This is a good dinner for when you are in a hurry because you don't need to pay much attention to the details.
INGREDIENTS
Pound of bacon
4 packages of frozen gnocchi
1 whole garlic bunch (or whatever it's called)
DIRECTIONS
1) Put a large pot of water on the stove to boil.
2) Start cooking some of your bacon in your George Foreman grill, or frying pan or whatever you have.
3) When your water starts boiling, dump the entire 4 bags of gnocchi into it.
4) Heat a frying pan on the stove on med - high heat and put some oil in it.
5) Start cutting up your garlic. Pay no attention to the bacon even if it starts to smell like it's burning. Pay no attention to the gnocchi, because your family will enjoy it overcooked, mushy and tasteless. Don't worry about the fact that your pan of oil might be too hot at this point. Just keep cutting up that whole garlic bulb, or whatever it's called.
6) Take the crisp bacon out of the George Forman grill (or whatever you are using to bur.....I mean cook it), and put more in.
7) Throw all that garlic into that hot pan of oil and watch the garlic instantly burn to a crisp. Not to worry, because burnt garlic has a unique flavor.
8) Finally turn your attention to the pot of mushy gnocchi. Drain.
9) Put some Olive Oil and butter on the gnocchi. Add the blackened garlic. Add the extra crispy bacon. (It's not burnt! It's well done!)Don't stir much or you will just make the gnocchi even more mushy than it already is.
10) When your family asks, "What's for dinner?", say "Oh, go make a sandwich!"
11) Go out to a movie.
