I am with you on this one

I am really not commenting anymore one way or the other. She is today's news until something else comes along.

I believe those little children are going to need all the help they can get. Mom is a nut case and they have to live with that through no fault of their own. Give 'em the big house, give 'em free groceries, give 'em free nanny assistance, give 'em free clothing, give 'em free everything else. They are children and babies who can not do it themselves. Have mom spayed isn't that what they do to keep animals from breeding, so it can not happen again. The children are here, help them live a decent life.

Wow, this is really interesting! The news media is really bad in pounding and pounding on subjects until we can't stand them anymore.......plus, always focusing on the negatives!!!!!! I don't/won't watch Dr. Phil anymore....I did for a short time and then got tired of his "advice".......
I'm trying to NOT watch news of any kind anymore......it's sooo depressing!

It is true, we have scolded her enough.she needs to go figure how she will take care of all the kids.Some issues are more important.

They don't give her enough grief in my opinion. I'm guessing she has mental issues or at the very least does not have a grasp on reality.
A single mom has no business getting artificially inseminated to the tune of eight children when she already has I believe it is four or six children.

Public opinion has swayed, once more information on her circumstances surfaced. This is not a couple who couldn't have children and by some freak of nature ended up with eight children. She is in love with being a mom and having children in a very mentally unstable and unhealthy way.

I don't really want any ones resources wasted on her and her children, but here they are and they will need good parenting, love and attention - not to mention diapers and food and clothing.
It's outrageous that this was allowed to happen and I do feel that the doctor should be asked some hard questions.
Ultimately he will not be responsible for raising and supporting these children, but I hope he gets enough grief to re-think his actions in the future. I am guessing there are some responsible doctors out here who would have refused their help in this farce.

There is talk about taking the children away from her and my opinion is that unless she can find a way to be a real mom to these children then I believe that is the right thing. It is no longer about her, but now there are eight wee ones to consider.
So as harsh as this sounds in the interest of the babies not one of them should be allowed to go home with her. I say terminate her parental rights and give all eight babies free for adoption - then they might have a chance in life.

Yes, but government likes it when our focus is on something or someone else!
As for Kate, I watched a few minutes of that show, turned it off and will never watch her again. Don't watch Dr. Phil either.

Any attention either negative or positive that Nadya Suleman receives was brought on by her own actions.

Lee, I understand what you are saying. But why should everyone else support her children? No one has helped me with mine, but then again I only had three.

I can tell you how she will parent her kid. Look at the choices she has already made, she had 6 kids she already couldnt afford all living in a small house that her parents own. Her parents are about to lose their house because they are behind on bills but does she care....no. Her mom said there are clothes everywhere, they feed the kids in shifts and that 3 of the kids are disabled at least 1 that i know if is autistic. So with 6 kids, 3 disabled and no husband how does one person care for that amount of kids. A special needs child needs even more care then a healthy child. So instead of giving all she can to the kids she has she goes out and spends money that could have been spent on her kids and gets preg with 8 more kids. There is a good chance that due to being born so early they will have long term health issues. Which means they will need more care than 1 person can give. Not to mention the fact that she is on state based insurance, so not paying for it, and the fact that she is jobless and still in school. She keeps saying she can afford her kids when she graduates well umm why didnt she wait until after that to have them. Not to mention there is no way she can afford 14 kids with her degree especially not in the economy. It ticks me off because dh and i made the choice to limit our family size to what we can afford and care for. There are many struggling families that deserve help but are right over the income guidelines to get it and they bust their butts day in and day out. I HATE to see neg. behavior rewarded, thats not the right thing to do;

Octomom wanted this, profitting from this publicity. Unlike what people think, nothing is free and easy in this world.
Pay back sometimes is not worth it. Hard to stop anything rolling down hill without a crash at the end of any such "ride".
Octomom never would have done this if there was no attention involved. She might be "messed" up, she is not stupid.

Stacey I totally agree with you. I think everyone needs to leave her alone. I also think the ones judging her and saying she is mentally wrong when they are not a doctor better take a good look at themselves in the mirror. I am sure they have done some things if we knew would think they were cuckoo to. Bottom line is..Don't judge, unless you want to be judged yourself.

I agree!!! I used to watch "Dr." phil a couple years back until I saw how much of a hypocrite he is...I mean he cheated on his wife!!! And he is never invited to help the movie stars, he tries to help...britney spears...he just butts his way in like he does a whole lot...I mean 15 minutes on a television show doesn't help a dang thing!!!
And I completely agree about leaving octo mom alone!! If everyone didn't notice she obviously isn't trying to get a whole lot of publicity because she wasn't on the show!!! I don't even think she meant to get pregnant with 8 babies, it's just what happened....because when you are artificially insemenated there is a high chance not all of the eggs will be fertalized and survive birth....God obviously allowed this to happen and will use it for His good! So the media needs to just back off!!

and another thing, no matter if she is receiving money...she needs it!! she is a single mother taking care of like 14 children!!!!! She may have done the wrong thing, but she will pay the consequences for the rest of her life....raising babies is hard work...I can't imagine raising 8 babies at once on top of the older children!!

i think she has made some incredibly poor choices with her life, but we shouldn't make her children suffer for it.

I agree with you, I think the media should quit condeming her. Maybe we all as a respectable society should work on maybe giving this girl a chance and quit assuming how the future will play out. My prayers are with her and those 14 children.

Exactly! Why are so many people trying to set her up to fail. They should be trying to help her to succeed. Maybe, some people are afraid that she will prove herself a better parent with her 14 than some parents are with two or three. The cards are stacked against her now, and she's coping reasonably-well. The hospital must think she can handle it, as they're gradually sending all of her babies home with her.
