God Cannot and Will Not Lie -

This morning, I was listening to CDs on the Integrity of God’s Word and heard something that I never thought about before but it so hit me that I had to share it with you.

The speaker was explaining that not only is God unable to lie because everything He says comes to pass but He will not lie because if He did, it would immediately make Satan His father.  Let me explain..  The Word says that God has called Satan the father of liars.  So, if God lied, it would make Satan His father, which is exactly what Satan has wanted all along...to be above the Most High God. 

I don’t know about you but that excites me because it makes God’s Word even more sure and certain and His promises more sure and certain.  God said in His Word that Heaven and earth could pass away but not one letter or even punctuation of His Word will ever pass away.  That makes His Word a pretty sure thing I think. 

Since I’m standing on a number of His promises for things right now including scriptures for my house, my businesses, income and healing in my eyes and for a whole new mouth (teeth, gums, bones, nerves, roots, etc.,) and a few other things that I won’t mention at this time, I’m real excited about the integrity and validity of God’s Word.

Of course, I’ve also experienced the integrity and honor of God’s Word coming to pass in my life.  It always makes it that much easier to believe Him for something when you’ve experienced the fulfillment of His Word in another area.  I’ve had to depend on God my whole life because of things I’ve been through so I have a lot of confidence in what He can and will do.  That doesn’t mean I don’t have a lot to learn because I certainly do.  I learn every day and I listen to teaching material and study the Word consistently through various avenues.

Actually, writing the lessons for Gather for The Word For The Day teachings and this one has really helped me a lot.  I’ve long wanted to share what the Lord has taught me over the years but in order to teach, I have to study to make sure I have correct scripture references, etc.  I try to make sure I give you scriptures for what I reference though sometimes, like yesterday, I couldn’t find a particular scripture at the time, which is always annoying.

However, what I heard this morning so excited me, I had to share it with everyone.  I hope it is a blessing to you as well.
