New Group "Wish Upon A Star"...

After reading about a member who was really bummed out about her birthday the other day, I thought that I would start a "birthday wishlist" like we did at Christmas...  Now I have another group called "Celebrating Your Birthday Bash" and there seemed to be only moderate interest for that group.  But this one is going to be a little different and it's called "Wish Upon A Star"...

Now here is what this group is for..

• This is a group to reveal all your birthday wishes, just like you did for your Christmas wishlist.
• You can make your own "birthday wish" post and add it to the group.
• This is "ONLY" for birthday wishes.  I will moderate this groups content and if it does not talk about your birthday wishes they will be deleted.
• If you are the type that gets depressed and/or feels left out on your birthday, put that in there too.
• If you like getting cards and don't mind giving out your addy, put that in there too.  (Not your addy.  Just email them to me.)  I will keep all addy's private until a birthday comes up, and those who want it, I will send them to you via email.)
• If you want a "Big Birthday" Gather TADA! Just let us know!
• Now, I am doing this with one of our Gather members with her 3 year old son, who just loves it.  But I like sending cards and other surprises in the mail to kids, because kids love getting things in the mail.  Let us know and we will add them too.
• What does this mean for you as a group member?
• You will have a place to reveal your birthday wishes, or make someone else's come true.  So what if we have 25 posts going up to wish someone a happy birthday?  It's a celebration!!! So what if someone gets 30 birthday cards and/or gifts in the mail?  It's a celebration!  Some people never get much attention and they are surrounded by family all the time!
• I have allowed group members to send private emails to each other if you want to send a surprise package and/or flowers, or anything else you might think of to show how much you appreciate each other.
• This group is not all about me.  It's all about us.  You don't need my permission to do anything. The only requirement is that each post is about birthday wishes and desires.
• If this group is a success it will be because we as a collective group made it that way.  If it is not...then we as a collective group didn't want it.
• I am basically doing this so those who happen to post "birthday blues" every year, can now have a place to let others know about it.  And I am sure that at least one, if not all would love to wipe those blues away!!!
• Unlike the Christmas wishlist, this one will stay up all year long.  Feel free to come back to your post and update it at any time.
• One more thing.  The birthdays for that month will be featured and that way it hopefully gives you plenty of time to prepare.  For those in the beginning of the month, I will try to post them sooner.  But you are always welcome to see the lists anytime you want.
• So sign up and start writing your posts.  As soon as I get them, I will post them to the group!
