Today I logged in on my Wii Fit, after doing the body test it had told me I have lost 4.2 lbs. Hoorayyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!! I have never worked so hard at attaining physical fitness and weight loss goals in my life. One of the big changes I have made in my diet is to get up every morning and eat a bowl of cold cereal with a banana chopped up in it. I am not really a cereal person but I have found that I can make it to lunch without snacking and eat a normal lunch by doing this. Currently I have been eating Honey Nut Cheerios but I am getting tired of them. I think next time I will get some Honeycombs and some Raisin Bran. I like fruit a lot so if I do feel the urge to snack in bewteen meals I eat an orange or a handful of grapes or something like that. My only problem is cutting caffeine and diet cokes out of my life. My doctor said they contain a lot of sodium and he prefers me to drink light juice or water. I am still doing the aerobics games on Wii Fit step aerobics and the balance games. Hula Hoop gets me winded easily so I usually stick to soccer heading and table tilt in the balance games maybe when I get more fit I will be able to hula hoop for longer and stuff. I am an apple shaped woman and that poses a greater risk to my cardiovascular health than being a pear shape and I will be 40 in October so I really want to have myself in shape by then or at least halfway there. If I could just get down to a size 14 or 16. I would be so thrilled. I am trying to do this gradually so that it is a lifestyle change and not just some fad weight loss thing. I want to live to see my grand-children.

I want a Wii fit too!
I try to combine torso twists, hula hoop and half moon (yoga) to work on my midsection. I love the fit!
Tip for cutting down your diet coke consumption: FILL your glass with ice. The Diet Coke will be *really* cold, so you'll have to drink it more slowly. Second, the ice will melt, watering down the Diet Coke. You're essentially "watering down" the Diet Coke.
NOTE: Diet Coke doesn't contain a high amount of sodium. 1 can of diet coke has 40 mg, or about 2%, of your daily intake of sodium. If you are on a low-sodium diet, this can add up, but processed foods contain 10, even 20x that amount. Compare one of those "just add water" cups of soup designed for quick on-the-go lunches: they have about 1,000 mg of sodium in them. If you are cutting down on sodium, the fastest way to do this is to stop eating processed foods, since it's used in just about every processed food there is (it's an excellent preservative).
Keep up the good work - 4.2 pounds with 40 mere months away is a fantastic achievement! Go Wii Fit!
Good luck on reaching your goals.
