I Wait

I wait everyday for someone I know not
Who is it , I cannot say
For I myself wonder who could it be?
I wait but I know I am late
For a time when one is young  and has no
fears or tears or worries
One enjoys eating the berries
and pulling the swing up high
while one has the strength
to fly to a length
And breathe in the fresh air
And see the tree tops
And feel the breeze
cool the cheeks;
I wait but I do not know why?
Sometimes I cry or just quietly stare
as the wetness slips down to my lap
and the eyes are blind
for they cannot find the smiling face
Of the unknown spirit of the soul;
I wait for now I feel cold
Though I try to be bold
And listen to the harsh story as told
That I am not what I am,
I wait again as I am in deep pain
Again and again I am called Mam'
I long to hear my name
I wait for someone to call
But there is no one now, behind the wall
I wait I know for one who will never come
I wait and hope that perhaps
there maybe some scope
But as I wait evening turns into night fall
I wait till I can wait no more
I begin another day I am not alone
I feel the emptiness in my bone
My spirit seeks The Spirit Tall
I wait I wait I wait
But Silence is what I hear
And Silent is The Call-
