I never rate anything, but I'm rating this one. I really think a db1 on a post about missing your mom was a new low for the trolls around here.

Now that I know ratings are worth some pointage, I'll rate everyone I read (who isn't a douche bag). The photo is pretty--a nice reminder that spring is coming.

Thanks all of your for stopping in. I have to go do a test two hours from here in which I will eat a radioactive, glow-in-the-dark hamburger. After that yummy treat, the technicians will follow it's path out of my stomach and into my intestines. My daughter asked me if in a couple of days there will be something glowing in the bathroom. This could make for an interesting photo essay. I'll try to sneak in my small camera.

I'm stopping by to let you know that I'm not jealous of anything you listed. I'm actually jealous of your Crying Velvet Elvis, but we've been over that. I'm also hoping that you get you Calphalon set and invite me over for pancakes... which would be my perfect opportunity to stea -- I mean, admire the Crying Velvet Elvis.

Post pictures of your dogs. I never knew you had three dogs. All the shoes must have distracted me!

Good luck with that griddle...and I don't understand it, but I think it is frustrated people who think Gather is ONLY for serious writers. Not for photos. Not for friends. Not for other creative expression. All I have to say, feel sorry for them all the way to Macys. They have to be very unhappy inside.

Ellie - I don't think you can be here and please all the people. Mariana T. is just about the nicest person you'd meet anywhere, but she gets "special fans" too, and it's just jealousy that she's getting attention. I haven't put together any albums yet. I'll have to do one of the doggies. They're Daisy, Shorty and Piglet.

Robert - They're great pans and I never put them in the dishwasher and I hover around Van so he won't use a metal tool on them.

Marianne - That's how I was thinking. I could post a couple dozen pics, the special fan could spend some time and attention on me, and I'd come out with a bunch more page views. I hope this article spurs them on to greater heights, actually.

dark - Actually, I do, too. Unless my mouse runs across the rate button, I forget to rate things. I don't think it counts, but the view does.

Kay - I don't know why they do it, Kay. Jealousy is the only thing I can think of. I have lots of fun here, and maybe they don't and want to take the frustration out that way. But I know when my Special Fan started revealing herself, my points jumped :)

Kris - That's why my special fan is so special. She's more than one person and sometimes she talks on her own threads and agrees with herself. Sometimes she spells better than other times. I wonder if she has several hats sitting there, and changes them when she switches to her other accounts. "Okay, I'm being "M" now, I'll wear this derby. "C" is the cowboy hat, "G" is the baseball cap." Hahahaha.

Joy - Maybe Santa will have a Velvet Elvis for you at Christmas. Santa can't guarantee, however, that Elvis will be weeping.

John - Totally shocking, isn't it? Sweet little old me who takes meals to old folks and walks the dogs at the shelter. I must be an undercover mean mother.

Gremsy, yep, I am special and I'm glad my special fan points that out. Am I just a run-of-the-mill Gatherer? No, my stuff gets sought out for special handling. I am such an attention whore that I'm flattered by it all.

Like Ina, I usually turn off the ratings. When I forget to do so, it is amazing what gets a db.

Someone looked up photos I posted two years ago so they could add their db 1 to them.

let me clarify. I never remember to rat, that's true. In fact I studiously avoid ratting in all it's guises. But it was of 'rating' I spoke above. I usually forget to RATE. But my heart goes out to you, Vicky, my sweet. So this time I remembered.

I've never thought of you as a ratter, Charles...

Peter, on one occasion someone managed to go through everything I had up (starting in 2006) to throw a 1 on it. Since the only ones that escaped were those published to friends or private groups only, I can at least conclude that I am not connected to this person and he/she is not a member of any of those groups.

I've always been db's. But let's face it, I act up and tick people off. It kills me when some of the sweetest people on here get db'd. They even did it to my kids pictures once. Now that ticked me off supremely.
