I've Been Watching

It began, not at the desparate end of the eight year administration, but, as all the indicators were that their party would not be re-elected, were popping up in low approval ratings and bad discoveries and feelings within what should have been a tightly run ship, it was blatently obvious.

They would have the people believe that the ones out in front, the heads-of-state, the Dupes, were conveniently unaware that their world was about to implode in on them.

Suddenly, as though they were awakened, just apprised of the facts, that had been obvious were plaguing the people for so long now.

A constant media blitz was perpetrating a fraud on America in every news broadcast and printed word that no one knew the depths of.

The false sense of right, fear, outrage at ordinary occurances in a man's personal life, at first, these were the petty moral issues that fueled the undermining of the previous governments foundations. A government that had stabalised the economy and placed respect front and foremost in the eyes of the world. This government was brought down by the faction of the opposition, a faction that had no right in the dealings of a government that governed a diverse population and not one clinging to the same antiquated beliefs. A faction, that in the end, with their fundamentalist, radical judgements would inevitably bring them down as well.

Bombarding the population with tales of doom and gloom, fears of moral collapse, terrorism, all somewhat real, but exaggerated out of all proportion, to instill dread and a feeling of helplessness that would bring down a once strong and confident individual, to a whimpering scared remnant of humanity. ones who would follow their leaders anywhere, to hell itself, if need be.

Get to the bare superstitious raw emotions of a group of insecure people, strip away their free will, get them reliant on their government or church for all their answers, never questioning; they will send their sons and daughters, spouses and parents, friends and family off to be fodder for the war machines; human sacrificial lambs to slaughter and mental anguish. They will also relinquish their money, trying to placate the gods of fear, and in doing so will lose all for their nebulous and doubtful feeling of what they are told freedom is, when in the end,it is but a slavery to the financial institutions they were taught early on to put their trust in.

All for the acquisition of shiny new cars and TV's and boats and too large of homes with well kept gardens and streetlights, all that they could ill afford.

But still they believe in a government, pay them taxes, pay all the bills and when they can't, the government and banking institutions will lend, hand out money that the jobs will not pay you enough to pay back. You are then owned by the friendly banking institutions who are owned by a government who is pocketing the profits in the hopes that the people won't want an accounting and neither will the banks.

These people who work and slave to get "the good life" are left out in the cold when they are of no use to a failing economy any longer that looks not to the people, but the bottom line.

When a few, on the edges of this false reality see it is not as it should be, they are branded traitors and and Liberals and "lefties", for we all know how bad all that is, remember the fears the McCarthy era put the American people in?

All those ex-Patriots in Paris and London are probably laughing their asses off at the duplicity of a government who could brand them Communists when all they were doing, for the most part, was to not let the self-appointed witch hunters, get into their beliefs and credos. We lost some great talent to that farce in American history.

So, we were branded traitors and liberals and all for wanting the government to give us all back something we were promised. All that had been supposedly accumulated for our benefit was gone.

There are some who guessed the truth, who remembered how it was supposed to be and when it all started being perverted, corrupted and under-mined.

So, while the coffers were being filled by the few, the masses were growing stupid from their excesses and false sense of security, their beliefs in these elected officials, church leaders, war mongers, and CEO's--these very same supposed elected individuals knew it would soon be coming to an end. Their manouvering of justice for their own purposes infiltrated even unto the Supreme Court. Politics as usual. Or as they would have the people believe. News doled out as propoganda to further their needs of greed and avarice. Oh, yes, the truth, but out of context and timed so specifically to cover the mis-deeds being perpetrated on the masses.

So, they scrabbled for the last dime to squeeze, the property to acquire in preparation for their final acts of deceit and their apparent demise. Or withdrawel.

After all, how could they allow all of what they wrought be found out? The final push was on to time their avariciousness to coincide with the inevitable transition--to try to undermine the faith in these new apparent saviours of the systems they had worked so hard these past eight years to foil.

For if they could time important measures with thier own demise to appear that it was no fault of their own--to scuttle this new 'ship of fools' as-it-were, would be a blow to their threat of being found out, would strike a blow against these undoers of decency--give them a chance to re-group in four years to try again, business as usual. Re-install in the minds of its' citizens the feeling that only the holder of all the power and wealth will protect them. Make them complacent once again to the wrong-doing that gave them all the money and power the last time around.

The Stockholm Syndrome perpetrated on millions of people, all at once.

As if awakening from a stupour of mystical proportions, the American people were apprised of the dire consequences they have been living under for the past eight years; with tentacles reaching back throughout the years, years when predecessors of this administrations party practiced the same devious methods, testing the waters as-it-were. Seeing how far they could go every time they regained the power.

To pinpoint a begining is nebulous at best. We can see that the shift happened to coincide with the burgeoning age of reason and forthrightness of the Kennedy's. The evil axis thought to stem this universal flow of consciousness with the brutal assassinations of JFK, RFK, and MLK. But, the seeds of hope were germinated, and the roots took hold. Roots that grew and merged in a deep soil, rich with goodness---but the climate above the soil was not yet temperate enough to come forth with these new blooms. Now, that the new life has pushed through the surface, we rush to nurture it, placing just the right amounts of food and light and water and protections--it takes time to get all the elements just right. The snails and slugs of the previous stand of power still try to undermine, as weeds do, trying to blame their faults on the new blooms of hope,  the innocents drawing new oxygen to the core.

Just before these new sprouts breached the surface, impediments were in the works. Implementing measures to stem the flow of doom, their sudden need to acknowledge all the damage they had done lapped over to appear the work of the new administration.

Large, indecent, sums of money were requested, with no particular regard for destination or use. Conservation was thwarted by protections for those resourses being removed. Laws were enacted to stop advances in medicine and healing--once again bowing to the fears of the people who would buckle under the dogmas which went against all sense of reason and renaissance.

Now, that a refined sense of right has seemingly prevailed and all these disparate and non-progressive measures have been tempered and, where necessary recinded, now, the few who would run back to the ideology of their abusers blame the new presidency for all the woes that were put in motion by his predecessors!

It would seem memory is short for those who must be guided by others to have opinions at all.

Like all victims of captivity and abuse, brain-washing takes time to bring a person back to seeing the truth in the world.

Don't hate because you are told to, don't fear because you have been fed just enough to make your knowledge about a subject a dangerous thing.

Know yourself, trust yourself. The only thing to fear is fear itself. Think back to when you felt safe and secure. That opportunity is here again--grasp onto it.

Hopefully the collective consciousness will heal and grow strong enough to see the new leaders are not the same powers-that-be, but the ones with the intelligence and abilities to help get everyone trusting and working together, as individuals, to bring things back to order. It will take a precious amount of time and, at times seem unreasonable and out-of control, but without down, there is no up. Without black, no white, without evil, no good.

The evil that some men do does live after them, that is the only hinderance to this new age of reason, the good is interred in all of our bones--harvest it and put it where the disease is prevelant, it will heal and come right if we do so.
