Jealousy Overwhelms me...what would you do?

Before I married my husband he was very good friends with this family that lives nearby. I too became friends with the girl in that specific family before marrying Mike. Then I had a falling out with the family, and later I learned that previous to our marriage Mike had a crush on this girl....

Now you have to know that when I married my husband he was a virgin, all around...and we are all christians, the family included...but the girl who used to be my friend and mike's crush just recently signed a recording deal, and now has her own CD...which by the way as a side note I highly recommend!! <a rel="nofollow" href="http://myspace.com/newdawnrising">NewDawn Rising- Arise</a>

Anyhow....so I have her CD, and I am in the process of forgiving her for everything I felt she has done to me....today my husband went grocery shopping and snuck the CD out with him....

I would have thought nothing of it had he mentioned, "hey I'm taking your cd"....or "do you mind if I take your CD" but nothing was mentioned which leads me to believe that he was sneaking it out the door.....

Should I blow up about this or not? I mean I am over the jealous thing, I realize he is my husband, he married me, and he comes home to me....but that doesn't mean I want him fantasizing about another girl, or tempting his mind....

what would you do?

When you say "snuck"... I don't understand. Did he wear a trenchcoat and brimmed hat... walk by the media cabinet and "fasthand" it into the inside pocket?

I guess I don't understand either. The cd is in the house which leads me to think it belongs to both of you.

the cd is mine, I just got it yesterday...and he didn't wear a trench coat but he does have a huge inside pocket inside his regular coat that's where he put it.

I wouldn't blow up, but have a serious talk. Just try and express your feelings to each and come to an agreement oh what should be done.

Pray to God for guidance. He may not give it to you right away, but He will in His time, which is always best. Pray that your husband would be able to talk to you, too.

You need to talk to him about it. Communication between husband and wife is key! I haven't been married for 34 yrs and not know what I'm talking about! Good luck!

No need to blow up, just talk to him about it. Otherwise it will grow for you and cause negative feelings. Like Janie said, communication between a husband and wife is key. Many blessings :)

I don't think you necessarily have anything to worry about. I mean, if an old crush or boyfriend of mine had made a CD or a movie or whatever, I'd want to see it or hear it. But, if it's bothering you, I think you should talk to him about it - but make sure you can do so calmly and rationally. And just remember, he CHOSE you.

Thanks everyone for your advice..I asked him about it and he said he just wanted to hear it, he was sorry that it looked as if he was sneaking it out...that wasn't his intention....so I'm over it...but thanks for being there for me!!

your blowing this way out of proportion. dont make mountains out of molehills. if you act paranoid and treat him like you dont trust him then he will start acting even more peculiar. you have act like you trust him if you want him to be trustworthy. as far as i can see he's done nothing wrong. so what if he wanted to listen to the cd??? that doesn't mean he wants to get down her pants because he likes her music. and WHY would he feel the need to SNEAK a cd out the door just to listen to it? are you a control freak? is there a rule that he has to ask your permission to listen to a cd? even if it's yours? don't go overboard with your feelings. even though you say your not jealous....you clearly are not fully over your jealous feelings. and i will tell you that jealousy has no place in a relationship. it will only cause trouble for both of you. trust your husband and give him the benefit of the doubt. dont give him a reason to feel like he has to walk on eggshells around you. hope you work it out. that is such a silly thing to cause a fuss with the two of you.
