I am pulled to the ocean, as if being pulled to a safe haven. The waves, the warm sand, the salt air, it all envelops you. Puts you in a vacation spot.
We lug all of our gear to our island in the sand. Before I have it set up, the children have already found friends and they are off playing ball. Ahhh, this is what its all about, the kids having fun and me being able to relax, digging my feet into the warm sand. The gulls are flying about, I take out my book, adjust my sunglasses and fall fast asleep.
The gulls awaken me from my nap, screaching as they want the Doritos that have fallen from my hand onto the sand. I shoo them away and start absent mindedly snacking on them. I open up the cooler and pull out a carbonated ice tea and suck it down. Boy did that taste good, kind of like fresh limes. Weird. As I'm watching the kids play, I do a big number on the Doritos bag and suck down another ice tea. Wow, Doritos are empty, but it's okay because I still have a bag of sour cream and onion chips. As I go to open them...........................................................................................................................
MMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!
Wakes me from my nightmare! It was just a nightmare. Here I am, sitting in my bikini (well not really) sipping my lime water and cut up apples. Whew! I worked really hard to get here. That would not have been good.
