This is another outrage! The Democrats are greasing the palms of the teacher's unions that helped them get elected with $87 billion!
I don't like unions anyway because they've become legalized extortionists but they've also become very powerful politically and their immoral views are being forced on our nation. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate teachers. I've had some wonderful teachers in my life and value them and what they've done.
However, what is happening now is not a group of people being mistreated and trying to be treated fairly. They have become outright terrorists when they don't get what they want and I find that abhorent!
I especially find it deplorable for Obama and the Democrats to give them $87 billion instead of using that money to help our economy. It's a complete outrage.

That article said, " He notes that in the last decade the U.S. has only seen a nine-percent increase in student enrollment, but a 22-percent increase in the number of teachers and administrators in K-12 education."
We have more teachers and more administrators...and yet they are cutting back on classes in music and art, as if they are not a necessary part of education.
When my son was little, I fought the increase in administrators proposed for our school district, even though we were home schooling. Yes, the increase meant an increase in our real estate taxes, but that was not the reason. The reason was that with decreased enrollment, there should have been less need for more school administrators, not more. The reason was that they were doing away with art and music classes and making phys ed a rare event, and yet they wanted more money.
What a racket!
We could have an educational system that encouraged home-schooling and rewarded teachers for the improvement in their students' academic abilities but that would be a change. No one wants to actually change anything, do you.
You have a problem with schools getting much needed money????! Oh good grief. Some of the money even goes to fund your old buddy bushes "No child left behind". Here in our county and outlying counties schools are being closed and teachers and administrators laid off. Bigger classes and less attention and you find fault with giving to the teachers? Give me a break!
Thank you for sharing with ENDLESS POINTS!!!~
my son is currently attending the night school program and getting the best grades he has ever had. there has been talk about cutting it do to lack of funding. He actually likes school now and this is the best thing that could have happened in his school carreer.
Bryan money for the schools no but money for unions yes!!!!!! Why does the teachers union lie to us in their ad's begging for more and more money. "It's for the kids how can you say no to this poor little waif hand over more money you selfish ahole" , bull!!!! It's to line the pockets of unions and overpaid under performing administrations and teachers. Why is the solution to poor performance always "spend more money, more money will solve the problem". Again bull!!!
