In addition to paying more attention to my water intake - drinking an adequate amount each day - I am casting a keener eye on my diet, in general. In this case, I set out to learn more about the the benefits of eating apples and I plan to act on that knowledge by eating more of these crunchy nutrient-filled orbs. My personal favorite is the 'Granny Smith' apple, but I have been giving a second look at other varieties during my shopping excursions, so I can broaden my horizons and try new things. I am a pretty healthy eater overall, but there is always room for improvement. I did a bit of homework about the benefit of eating apples and was pleasantly surprised by all the research that has been done. In addition to tasting great, apples are low in calories, contain Vitamin C, and are rich in flavinoids, which are known for their antioxidant effects.
