A trip to Orlando, a couple of nights stay and a BLUE time is what I got for my birthday and Valentine's Day.
Don't take out the tissues for me just yet, I had a GREAT time. I saw something that I have wanted to see for years.

Blue Man Group incorporates almost everything you've tried to convince your children not to do - spitting/regurgitating food and paint, unspooling miles of toilet paper, climbing over furniture, throwing things - and, as a result, this is one show kids and adults alike positively adore.

The seating at the Sharp Aquos Theater at Universal Studios in Orlando, Fl is awesome, so the odds are good that no matter where you're seated you will eventually come eyeball to eyeball with one of the three blue, poker-faced, men. One might toss you a marshmallow, or use your head for balance, or pull you up onstage. Reading skills are a plus for this show; red LED oblongs feature prominently, and there is a very funny section wherein the audience is directed to read one (and only one) of three 12-part posters. A new segment of the show is dedicated to animation, and offers an extraordinary moment when a "picture" seems to come to life. The Blue Man Group show is deliriously fun, fast, and loud, and one of the best evenings of theater you're likely to find. The show runs roughly one hour and 45 minutes, with no intermission.

These are a couple of members of the Blue Man Group Rock Band. Their outfits are totally awesome under black lights. All you can see are the colorful parts of the costumes and of their faces.

The Blue Man Group's plays are not just purely musical, but they're audience-interactive...which is amazingly fun, to say the least. They "kidnap" an audience member or two before the show starts, and usually end up doing crazy stuff to him during the show, like zipping him up in a wetsuit and lobbing paintballs at him to music, or doing some crazy musical skit with food - that will of course shower the first three rows with crumbs and pieces of flying edibles. They even hand out clear ponchos for that very reason. I love the part they do (non-interactive, but still awesome) where they pour paint on their drums and make whole colorful fountains when the things are hit. It's a gorgeous and surprisingly moving sight.

If you walk in late, the show will stop in the middle, and you WILL get a spotlight on you...and it will follow you all the way to your seat as the announcer continually taunts you. Best be early to avoid being picked on (though it's freaking hilarious when you're watching it happen to someone else).

Outside the Theater...gifts galore inside this building.

Inside the Theater, another gift shop.
The Blue Man Group is a highly interactive, jaw dropping, funny, psychedelic, rockin' explosion of bright colors, synchronized sounds, and zany antics. If you ever get the chance to see them in person...DON'T MISS IT!!!!!
