Contest has been discontinued...

I have decided to discontinue my "Treasure Hunt" contest...  Unlike my last contest, where a ton of folks jumped on the bandwagon...there was very little response to this one.  In fact...only two people started the contest and one of those dropped off after the first day.  Only one continued the contest and you really can't have a contest with one person.

Maybe it's because no one knew what the prize was going to be?  But I would have made it worth your while.  In fact...the winner was going to receive a cookbook where most of the meals can be made in 15-20 minutes!  Totally beating Rachel Ray's 30 minute meals.  They are really good recipes too!

It was hard enough for me to cough this baby up.  But so many folks who wrote down things they liked to win in a contest...said cookbooks.  So I was willing to give one of mine up! Yes...this contest was a little work and like the last contest, it would have helped our fellow Gather members as well as ourselves reach our goals.

But since there were no real takers for this contest...the cookbook is going back on the shelf for now and maybe I will use it again in another contest.  If I can get up the nerve to do it.  LOL

As for the one person who was willing to continue with the contest...I will send you a small surprize token of my appreciation for participating.  I don't want your efforts to be wasted.  I try to be fair with everyone.

I didn't realize you were having a contest.
But, I probably wouldn't have participated for a cook book. I already have a box full of recipes. But, I wish you luck with your next contest.

I remember you were going to have this contest.. I did not realize it had started. I think with Gather not delivering emails and problems with feeds made it hard for members to keep up with your friends. I see in my email I have several from you now I have to look at. Your emails are one I look forward to every day. I have several friends I have had no contact with since this latest Gather upgrade. Not sure if they left or what. But looking friends up is hard to do when you have alot. Gather needs a better way to allow us to organized them.

Please don't be to upset. I really think the contest was bad timing with the upgrade. It had nothing to do with you.

Minipin... Are you sure those emails are from me? I haven't sent you any. I checked my sent box and there are none. You might have me mixed up with another Teresa maybe? I have never once sent out a mass email, to anyone on Gather.

Yes, they were from you. Not mass email. I get email notification whenever a Gather friend creates a new post.
