Well this morning about 8:30am right before I was heading to bed my mom came in from feeding the landlords cats cuz she’s in the hospital, she told me she had found a cat laying in the landlords yard still. She went and checked it out it was still alive and she brought it home, she thought he had been hit by a car and had a concussion. Anyways my hubby Joe got up and checked him out while ma was tryin to get hold of the only animal hospital we have in this town or near by. Joe said he didn’t think he had a concussion just looked like he got in a bad fight and his eye was closed and swollen with dry blood around it, Joe did say though that he was really dehydrated. We tried to get some water into him as much as we could… my mom tried numerous of time to get hold of the vet and still no answer or response. He was a beautiful cat light gray with a lil darker gray swirls…he was only bout 2 yrs old. Anyways we finally got hold of the vet, of course I was asleep couldn’t stay awake any longer, but the vet said sounded like he was fine he just needed some water, to try that and if he wasn’t any better by tomorrow bring him in. Again like I said we checked him out and besides his eye, which we put ice on, and dehydrated nothing was wrong with him as we could see. Well when I got up this afternoon about 3pm Joe said he was in the room talking to him and rubbing his head when he took his last breath. We did all we could actually do for him when he seemed he was only really dehydrated, who knows he could’ve had internal bleeding as well. Anyways Joe went and buried him and now he’s in kitty heaven looking down on all of us for our kindness we shared, if nothing else we made is last hours of his life as comfortable as we could…. I didn’t take pics of the cat because I figured the last thing he needed was someone in his face taking pics… so plz no one ask for them I didn’t feel it appropriate.

thanks for the posting......
Please wash everything the cat touched, you do not know what it had...... I would try to find owners. They maybe wondering why kitty has not come home?
It's good that you were able to provide such love in his last hours, though.
