So, I walked into Circuit City today. It's their going out of business sale. They didn't have much left, but an mp3 player caught my eye. It's on sale for 35 dollars. It is called a Samsung S2. It's a necklace mp3 player and the headphones are incorporated into the necklace.
It has one gigabyte of storage space. Does anyone have any idea how many songs that is? It has an average battery life of 13 hours, and they are rechargeable somehow. However, I read in several places they really only get around 9 hours.
Also does anyone have any experience with it? Own it? Use it? If so, how do you like it? Would you recommend it?
Honestly, before today, I've never heard of the Samsung S2 before, but then I haven't been in the market for an mp3 player either.
See, I like it for it's versatility as a necklace and mp3 player. My intention for it is to wear to work and use as I sit at the desk on my computer. At my work I can't put any CDs that are not approved into the drives, and I also cannot stream music from an online radio source. I figured, this necklace type will keep it off my desk, a place I can remember it at the end of the day, even if I'm not listening to it, and the headphones allow for the ability to wear only one, should I need to hear someone talking to me.
It's also good for other occasions like walking, and exercising.
I think I can find it even cheaper at Best Buy, but I'm not sure.
So what do you think? Below are pictures, if you need visuals.

The design of the player you are considering is quite nice, but I agree that $35 for one gig is rather expensive.
You can probably get a better deal on Amazon or some other site.
