Life can get pretty crazy sometimes with work, school, kids,
pets, spouses or partners--the mundane aroma begins to stifle
the senses instead of awakening them. As we rise to another
day we hope to find something new at every moment.
We can promulgate frustration and attempt to rectify that
which bothers us but how do we really go through life if
all we ever do is follow some strict course of action?
We play.
What I mean by play is not simply hide and seek, frolic, or
board games, it is creatively inviting change. Some of use a
talent like drawing, photographing, sculpting, writing or maybe
reading; all activities that alter mundane conditions to a more
excitable venue. But others fetch a thrown stick, climb a tall
tree, ford across a rushing river without ever worrying about
a scuffed knee, a broken wrist perhaps, or even possibly
drowning cause sometimes kids just 'go with the flow'.
Now I am not saying jump over a cliff to see if you can fly,
but play in the midst of work whenever you can and make
the time of your life just that . . .
Use what inspirational gift the imagination' can be. I see it
as a gift the mind gives me when I think past boundaries of
'strict courses of action'. I am curious how yours has helped
you through the mundane in your life and made it better, worse,
or not applicable because I cannot comprehend Your imagination.
What sort of play did you engage in today ?
