It's kind of a lazy day...so I thought I would share with you what I believe are the greatest figure skating performances in my memory. And I do consider myself an expert on the subject. (That doesn't make me an expert, of course, but I know more than the average person. I watch it a lot and go see it live when I can, much to the chagrin of my husband.)
These choices may surprise some of you. Take note that I didn't say the greatest figure skaters of all time. Without a doubt, Kristi Yamaguchi tops that list. These are the single, one-time performances...when the stars line up and God smiles down on one skater and she has a perfect night.

The third skater I offer may surprise figure skating fan. It's Nicole Bobek's 1995 world champion winning skate. Nicole wasn't the most consistent skater, but in this particular performance, she is on as rarely a skater is:

I dont watch much of the Olympics but I never miss the figure skating.
They make it look so effortless.
