I am preparing short articles about attractive postcards that interest me.
None of these cards are attached to personalities - but they may be valuable to other folks doing web searches.
I find that my postcard articles have many more page views than they have comments; so the Gather search connections do permit me to share my "treasures" beyond Gather.
The Hotel Moulton is not noted in an 1886 history of the area (although this is a fascinating history, including an illustration of settlers disposessed by a faulty land grant).
HISTORY OF LISBON, GRAFTON COUNTY, NEW HAMPSHIRE
I do not believe that the Hotel Moulton still exists, as there is no listing of it on comprehensive data bases of New Hampshire hotels - except for a modern seaside motel in Hampton, NH.

I would be glad to learn more about this hotel.
The family name is "Tiffany".
It is in bad shape, so I am electronically re-touching it for posting soon.
It reminds me of the resorts here in the Great Smoky Mountains before they were declared a national park."
New Hampshire was a popular location for summer vacations; the small town of Lisbon had several resorts where east-coast urbanites could enjoy the cooler temperatures of New England.
I would guess, turn of the century, because the great movement of people (by train in the 1880's) and by car (after 1900) grew enormously at that time.
Also, the town's history does not mention it in 1886.
I thought so, too, Ron.
I love rambling old buildings, as long as they have electricity adn hot water.
I cannot find any current references to it, Mary Louise.
