Tomorrow will be President's Day and I wonder which President you like or think was a good President? Out of all the Presidents, which one do you like?
FDR guided us through three full and a partial term of the most challenging, and depressing era of our history. He brought us hope, in our country's darkest hours.
My vote would have to go to Washington. Being the first he had the opportunity to begin traditions. His refusal to serve more than two terms helped keep us a democracy rather than reverting to a monarchy.
I think Lincoln would be my second choice. Again, his time in history was pivotal due to the slavery issue coming to a head and Lincoln's handling of the Civil War.
I also think I might have liked Lincoln, the man, better than the others as well. Some pretty good Presidents I would had a really hard time liking (such as FDR).
Harry Truman. While I agree with historians that the best were Washington, Lincoln and FDR, I really liked Truman and I think he should rank with the other three.
I can't say there was one I liked more than others, but if I have to say which one I like the best? I guess I have to say Ford...........for no other reason than he was from where I lived when growing up.

historically for me . . . . . FDR & Lincoln
Just for personal reasons.....there's something about Carter that I liked. Not saying he was the best president we had. But I liked him.
I guess I have to say Ford...........for no other reason than he was from where I lived when growing up.
