Okay, I honestly can't decide if this is a joke or not. If it is real, it is a sad (but funny) commentary on human stupidity. If it isn't real, then it's just funny.
Ferret found wandering on my deck, is it yours?
The text says, "I found this ferret out on my deck. It doesn't have a collar on. I am not able to keep it so if its owner doesn't respond to this ad in a few weeks I'll have to find it a new home. I don't want to take it to the pound."

If you look closely, it looks like they have it in their house. Maybe behind a couch?
I'm just wondering if they actually picked it up or if this is a joke. Maybe someone left a door open and a young possum walked in for a look around? At any rate, it's pretty funny.

Kinda cute in a ferel sort of way.
I once had someone bring me a "tiny ferret" they found in their back yard. I still don't know how they caught it. Turned out it was a "Long-Tailed Weasel" ... about half the size of a ferret ... and very, very wild. Cute as the dickens, though.
So, what do you think? Is this a joke or was someone that dumb??

I had to come back to this, I just laugh every time i see it hehe
Heather: Yes, the possum under the porch was very scared. My dog was barking at it and I peeked down through the floor boards of the porch and it OPENED its mouth and hissed. Wow! Lots and lots of teeth.
Donna: I guess it looks something like a ferret in that it's furry and has a pointy nose. But if you look at my icon and look at the critter, you'll see lots of differences.
Tracy: I'm thinking it chose to get behind the sofa and the guy couldn't get it out (or was smart enough not to try). Possums seem to like to hide under and behind things just like ferrets.
Well, the whole thing gave ME a chuckle. (Barb is remembering how ill-advised it was to try to pick up the Long Tailed Weasle despite the fact it was freaking cute ... it was NOT a baby like I thought and it BIT)
This person must really believe that they found a ferret or else they wouldn't have bothered taking the time to write that up. Hopefully someone cleared it up for them so they can let the little guy go home!!
I agree about it being a baby- possums aren't that nice unless there is something wrong with them.
